The Founder Rehabilitation Ranch
Thanks to the wonderful members and
volunteers at CBER  who made very generous
donations, making it able to bring Jet to our
facility for evaluation and treatment for her
Equine Cushings Disease.
From the Columbia Basin Equine Rescue web site:

Aged sorrel QH type mare, 14.3 hands. This is a very sweet mare, has
sway back and is heavy bellied, which is why her price is more. She is
gentle and was ridden before. She appears to be a candidate for some
Cushings treatment as she shows some of the symptoms of the
disease:(Long shaggy coat, loss of muscle mass especially on the
topline and rump) but because we are not around her all the time we do
not know if she shows some of the other signs. Equine Cushings is
caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland.

Jet arrived late on May 18.  On Saturday we
continued to trim her belly hair and mats.  These
pictures were taken upon her arrival, before we got
rid of the rest of her belly hair.  She looks 1000%
better now, and we haven't done much for her!

She had her first trim with our hoof specialist...  not
great but could have been worse.  Labs were drawn
Sunday night, but the centrifuge wasn't working
quite right so we may not have usable samples.  If
not, we'll try again tomorrow.
Jet's Tatoo...  can anyone
