Please welcome our newest addition "Belle" 6/18/06 Belle is a beautiful horse, probably a quarter horse.  She was purchased at auction by her previous owner to save her from become "slaughter-bound."  She had an injury to her hind leg that severely flared once she was home and underwent thousands of dollars in treatment in 2004.  Despite this care, the wound has continued to weep and just hasn't completely healed.  After boarding Belle for a year with minimal treatment for the wound, the former owner agreed that she didn't have the facility or time to give her the aggressive treatment she needs, and has now donated Belle to us.  We will begin some basic, but aggressive wound care to see how she progresses, and hope that our consistent, persistent care can help clear this up.
